BDD 1227 is the first ground-up construction at Beirut Digital District (BDD), and it consists of 2 office buildings separated by a nineteenth century church. They are located to the West of BDD, and they face its future piazza to the East.
Semi-public spaces are carved in the allowable building envelope, creating outdoor terraces for the tenants with views towards the future piazza, the sea, and the city. Both buildings communicate visually through their shifting volumes, as they overlook the old church in-between.
Facades are clad with polyhedron panels which give the buildings a futuristic feel, while reflecting the identity of BDD. Once completed, BDD 1227 will add 22,000 SQM. of office space to the BDD community.
